What makes this project so unique is the "powers to be" failed to approve this package until after the concrete had been poured, a distance of 135' from the curb to the face of the building. That created installation restriction challenges.
Unlike the 39' logo created for the Aledo Football Stadium in steel, we were assigned to keep this logo under 4000lbs but still keep it 25' in diameter while still giving it a 3-D appearance. Well, we did it. All aluminum construction made the center logo at 3,800lbs and standing off the background 6' The star is so large, we were able to walk inside. Then of course compliment by 12' stars on the sides. With full programmed illumination, changing colors sent a signal of the team's success.
